About
The Red Deer Taxpayers Association is an association formed under the Societies Act (Alberta). The Association is a “non-profit organization” under the Income Tax Act of Canada. The Association was formed in 2013 to represent the interests of Red Deer taxpayers.
Our Purpose
Red Deer is a great city and we aspire to make things better. The Association strives to play a constructive role in advocating our municipal government to respect taxpayer dollars and manage its resources in a careful, business-like manner.
The Association does not oppose taxation. We support the careful and responsible use of tax money for
- essential city services
- infrastructure such as roads, water and sewers
- strategic capital investments which improve the quality of life for our broader community
The Association was formed in order to provide a voice for individual and business taxpayers concerned with lost opportunities with improvident use of taxpayer monies. We invite all civic-minded residents and businesses of Red Deer to join the Association.
The Association is non-partisan and does not endorse any particular political party or candidate.
